Concerning Tryouts!

“Travel” baseball/softball is for those who participate in the NEAA and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation leagues.  Typically there are two (2) games per week.  One (1) game at home and the other game is played away at a neighboring location.

Tryouts are based on the player's age cutoff date (August 1, 2021 for girls and May 1, 2021 for boys) for those boys who wish play in the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation league.  If your child/children does not try out, or if he or she does and is not selected, they will automatically play in the NEAA or the appropriate "in-house" league based on their age.  An example of this would be an eight (8) year old doesn't make a travel team they will play in the "in-house" league.  Whatever age your child is on August 1, 2021 for girls, and May 1, 2021 for boys, that is the age they are trying out for!

We are fielding two (2) girls teams this year who will play in the Phillies RBI league. They use a January 1st as their age cutoff date.

Copy of Birth Certificates Are Required For All Travel Baseball and Softball!

All travel players will be required to provide a copy of their birth certificate for the purpose of issuing identification cards by the leagues.  Copies will be needed prior to the start of the season.
