Update - Baseball/Softball Season Has Been Delayed!
Posted April 1, 2020

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and in compliance with social distancing and other restrictions set forth by our Federal, State and Local Governments, all activities at Fox-Rok A.A. have been suspended until further notice.  This includes field cleanup, opening day parade, our monthly general meetings and the planned opening of the baseball/softball and flag football season.

The baseball and softball leagues that we participate in have asked us to wait until the beginning of May before considering cancellation of the season as the fields may reopen in May, which would only be a two (2) week delay from our planned season opening.  Should the season be canceled, we will provide refunds to those requesting one, in accordance with our policy (view “Refunds” page found under the heading of “Code of Conduct & Policies”), or we are willing to credit your registration payment fee for next season as many people have already requested.  This would relieve the impact costs of credit card fees to all.

Again, our season is NOT canceled, just delayed!

Please continue to check back here for updates.  In the meantime, we hope you and your family are healthy and well.

Tryouts and Practices Have Been Postponed!

Posted 3/12/2020

Considering the latest information and world uncertainties due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), all baseball tryouts and practices for the 2020 baseball and softball season are suspended at this time.

The safety of the children is our main concern.  Due to the ever changing situation, we do not know when we will be able to get the season under way.  Since the Philadelphia Schools will be closed for at least the next 2 weeks, we do not foresee any tryouts/practices during this time frame.  In addition, the City of Philadelphia has announced today that they have restricted all activities for those who hold permits for all sports across the City for an undetermined amount of time.  Please continue to check back here for updates.  Our season is NOT cancelled, just delayed!  In the meantime, stay safe!

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you!

Baseball/Softball registration has reopened, some spots left!  All others will go into a waitlist with hopes to field another team!

Sorry, no personal checks.  MasterCard and Visa credit cards are accepted.

Both boys and girls must be at least 5 years old on or before August 1, 2020 in order to register.

The online registration will not allow you to make a mistake when registering your child/children.  It is based on the “Team Placement Age Cut-Off Dates,” that are listed below on this page.

If you experience any difficulties in registering and require assistance, please call 844.374.8747 during normal business hours.

Be advised that late registrations will NOT be accepted unless we are short players to field a team.  Divisions when filled will close.  Each division has a pre-established maximum player count.  Once the maximum player count is satisfied the division closes and the child is placed on a waiting list should that occur before the established registration close date.  Once that happens, those on the waitlist are not released until we have enough players to establish another team.

How to Register

To register for any sport with the Fox-Rok Athletic Association go to and click on “Register” that is located in the upper right hand corner of our home page.   You will then need to click on “Create New Account or “Login” if you have already created an account.  As a reminder, you must first have an account before you can register your child/children.  The process is easy.

Once you have created an account, you then need to list your child/children before you can choose a program to play in.  Select “Add Participant.”  Enter the child’s name and complete all of the required fields.  If you have more children to register, don’t select “Next.”  Select “Add Another Participate.”  Once you have added all of your children you should select “Next.”

After you have entered all of your children only then will the system allow you to select the available program for that child or children.  Make your selection.  Continue to complete the necessary fields until you have completed your order.  You will receive an email confirmation after you have successfully completed the process.

After the first time you register your child/children the system will remember your information!  You will only need to update a few lines as opposed to starting from scratch when registering for all other Fox-Rok sports.

Please note, if you want to coach or volunteer in any way you must create an account online and state your interest.  The program is set up to ask if you have a desire to volunteer and in what role.

To get on the mailing list you must create an account online.

If you experience any difficulties in registering and require assistance, please call 844.374.8747 during normal business hours.

Concerning Registrations!

Registration cutoff dates are established mainly to ensure that uniforms and the necessary equipment needs can be identified and ordered in time to be received before the start of the playing season.  This is the case for each sport offering at Fox-Rok A.A.  Occasionally we have situations where we may require additional players to prevent a team or teams from folding and will solicit players by posting these openings on our website.  That is the only time we will accept registrations after the established cutoff date.  This website provides ample notice time for registration of all sports.  On our website, at the top of each sport page, it states the month of when registrations are held and the duration of the season.  It is provided for your planning purposes.

Copy of Birth Certificates Are Required For Travel Baseball!
All travel players will be required to provide a copy of their birth certificate for the purpose of issuing identification cards by the leagues.  Copies will be needed prior to the start of the season.

A word of warning concerning field maintenance!  When it rains NEVER push the wet infield soil mix onto the grass!  To do so ruins the field for the remainder of the season.  We have invested thousands of dollars this year on field maintenance, plus numerous hours of time.  To learn how to care for the fields please make it to our monthly meetings!  Also view the details posted on our "Field Maintenance" page.

Concerning Baseball/Softball Registration and Tryouts!

Posted February 13, 2020

The NEAA (Northeast Athletic Association) league had changed their cutoff date to August 1 for both boys and girls.  Most children go from our home league to the NEAA.  Hence the ripple affect we are were faced with during tryouts.  This is NOT consistent with the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation’s cutoff dates of May 1 for boys.

“Travel” baseball/softball is for those who participate in the NEAA and the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation leagues.  Typically there are two (2) games per week.  One (1) game at home and the other game is played away at a neighboring location.

Tryouts are based on the age cutoff date for those who wish play in the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation leagues.  If your child/children does not try out, or if he or she does and is not selected, they will automatically play in the NEAA or the appropriate "in-house" league based on their age.  An example of this would be an eight (8) year old doesn't make a travel team they will play in the "in-house" league.

Tryout details and schedule are listed on our tryout page!
