Please be advised that the NEPL (Northeast Peanut League) does not permit High School varsity players to participate in the NEPL.  However, a boy is welcome to register for a Fox-Rok team and if he makes his school team we will refund the registration as long as he informs us prior to receiving a Fox-Rok jersey or playing in a NEPL game.

Concerning Registrations!
Registration cutoff dates are established mainly to ensure that uniforms and the necessary equipment needs can be identified and ordered in time to be received before the start of the playing season.  This is the case for each sport offering at Fox-Rok A.A.  Occasionally we have situations where we may require additional players to prevent a team or teams from folding and will solicit players by posting these openings on our website.  That is the only time will accept registrations after the established cutoff date.  This website provides ample notice time for registration of all sports.  On our website, at the top of each sport page, it states the month of when registrations are held and the duration of the season.  It is provided for your planning purposes.  Next Registration is for summer basketball.  Registration will be held online during the month of May.

How to Register
To register for any sport with the Fox-Rok Athletic Association go to www.foxrokaa.com and click on “Register” that is located in the upper right hand corner of our home page. You will then need to click on “Create New Account or “Login” if you have already created an account. As a reminder, you must first have an account before you can register your child/children. The process is easy.

Once you have created an account, you then need to list your child/children before you can choose a program to play in. Select “Add Participant.” Enter the child’s name and complete all of the required fields. If you have more children to register, don’t select “Next.” Select “Add Another Participate.” Once you have added all of your children you should select “Next.”

After you have entered all of your children only then will the system allow you to select the available program for that child or children. Make your selection. Continue to complete the necessary fields until you have completed your order. You will receive a email confirmation after you have successfully completed the process.

After the first time you register your child/children the system will remember your information! You will only need to update a few lines as opposed to starting from scratch when registering for all other Fox-Rok sports.

Please note, if you want to coach or volunteer in any way you must create an account online and state your interest. The program is set up to ask if you have a desire to volunteer and in what role.

To get on the mailing list you must create an account online.

2016/2017 Tryout Dates and Times
Posting October 31, 2016

The first teams to be formed will be playing in the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation League, formally known as the Department of Recreation.  Games for this league take place at one (1) location on one (1) night per week.  This location will be somewhere in the Northeast.  They have played at Northeast High School in the past as well as in Mayfair.  They could even use our new gym at Fox Chase Recreation.  Either way, games will be the same location one (1) night per week.  It is not a true travel where players would go to playgrounds at various locations within the city.

These teams are for players who are more skilled and advanced.  There are tryouts scheduled for each age group and coaches will select their teams based on tryouts.  We strongly recommend that all players for every age group attend tryouts and try to earn a spot on one (1) of these teams.

Players are expected to attend all tryouts where indicated below.

13 year old Philadelphia Parks & Recreation tryouts - Fox Chase Recreation Center gymnasium on Friday, 11/4 from 5:30 PM until 6:50 PM with head coach Rick Rehmann.
12 year old Philadelphia Parks & Recreation tryouts - Fox Rok Recreation Center gymnasium on Friday, 11/4 from 6:50 PM until 8:10 PM with head coach Rick Rehmann.

11 year old Philadelphia Parks & Recreation tryouts - Fox Chase School gymnasium on Wednesday, 11/9 from 6:00 PM until 7:25 PM with head coach Drew Puchalski.

8 year old Philadelphia Parks & Recreation tryouts - Fox Chase Recreation Canter gymnasium on Friday, 11/4 from 8:10 PM until 9:30 PM with head coach Eric Mchugh.

9 year old Philadelphia Parks & Recreation tryouts - Fox Chase Recreation Center gymnasium on Saturday, 11/5 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM with head coach Mike Donnelly.
10 year old Philadelphia Parks & Recreation tryouts - Fox Chase Recreation Center gymnasium on Saturday, 11/5 from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM with head coach Mike Gallagher.

After the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation teams are formed, players who are not selected and/or those who do not tryout will either go into the boys Friday Night Home League (8 ~ 10 year olds), or a Northeast Peanut League Travel Team (11 year old and up).  These practices and functions will begin in the middle or end of November.

Coaches may be calling or emailing to remind or confirm tryout times and dates.

Summer Basketball Season 2017 Details!

Summer Basketball starts just after July 4th and runs through mid-August. Games for boys are typically held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings on the outside courts located on the Fox Chase Elementary School Property. Girls typically play two (2) times per week. These games are held in the gymnasium inside the Fox Chase Recreation Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings. Some weeks there may be one (1) game and other weeks there may be two (2) games played. All players are guaranteed a minimum of (6) league games plus playoffs.

Younger divisions play at 6:00 PM, mid divisions play at 7:00 PM and High School divisions play at 8:00 PM all on the outside courts on the Fox Chase Elementary School property.

Summer basketball is a somewhat casual summer league.  Traditionally coaches do not hold practices.  The team’s coach may hold one practice before the season starts just to meet the players but that’s usually all.  Some coaches may hold weekly practices, but that is extremely rare to the point of being almost nonexistent.  You can expect to receive a call from a coach mid to late June.  Any and all questions should be addressed to our director, Joe MacFarland at macf1620@yahoo.com.

Please note that no outside summer basketball games will be played on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 due to the National Night Out event that is planned to be held at the Fox Chase Elementary School yard, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
